Blue Devils continue to roll, blowing past a cold-shooting Ravia Latina-1 squad 119-78...

 

LINLEY & JAMES TAKE OVER SECOND HALF...

 

Cartersville, GA (Sunday Feb. 11, 2007) - Once the train starts rolling its hard to stop it. The Blue Devils were down early to Ravia Latina-1, but there was an engine in the Caboose Sunday, as the bench came in to push the offense. The Devils opened the game up in the second half, running away with a surprising 119-78 win over a talented, but cold-shooting Ravia squad.

The Devils were supposed to play Ravia JV on Sunday, but when several players had other commitments arise, Coach Jessie Torres had to enlist the services of a couple of players from their top squad. 6'3" shooting-guard Rodney Kirtz, a former Mercer University star, along with 6'5" small forward Leonard Rodriquez and Alfonse Dyer, a 6'10" center from Northwestern State all suited up for Ravia. It would seemingly be a huge test for the Blue Devils, putting their eight-game win streak on the line against a semi-pro lineup. After getting off to a sluggish start, the Devils passed with flying colors.
