Americus, GA (Nov. 3rd) - Former Cedartown High star, Quan Martin started and scored nine points to help South Georgia Tech open the season with a hard-fought 92-83 win over the Summer Hill Blue Devils Post Grad team Saturday evening inside the Hangar on the campus of SGTC.
Martin was 3-5 from beyond the three-point line and was a major factor in the Jets' success in building a lead in the second half that the Blue Devils could not overcome.
The Summer Hill Post Grad Program, based out of Cartersville, is the organization which assisted Martin in obtaining his athletic scholarship to South Georgia Technical College.
