November 6, 2008 - Cartersville, GA - The Summer Hill Blue Devils jumped on Martinique quickly and repeatedly, forcing turnovers and producing points, enroute to a 116-48 victory.

Up 7-2 early, Josh White hit his second three in the corner, which triggered an enormous run that say Summer Hill streak to a 42-3 lead at the 11:03 mark of the first half. Corntey George, White, Kevin Green and Darrell Williams, Jr. spearheaded a defensive press that forced Martinique into 22 first half turn overs. Martinique settled and scored a few baskets going into the half, but the Blue Devils had already put the game away while hitting 10 treys out of transition in the process. Martinique found themselves down 63-21 at the break.

The second half saw much of the same. Though the Devils pulled back defensively down the stretch. Martinique was still outscored 53-27.

Summer Hill shot 55% from the field on the evening and made 27-35 freethrows. Martinique shot a respectable 42% from the field, but had trouble getting shots off while coughing the ball up 41 times to the Devils' constant pressure.

Surviant Stephane led Martinique with 13 points and Duranty Sylvier also had 11.

For Summer Hill, moves to 3-0 on the young season, White had 25 points and nine boards, George 16 pts, six assists and seven steals, while Richard Davis tallied 14 points and four rebounds. Darrell Waters also had 12 points, as Tim Fortenberry and Williams had 10 each. Williams also had five assists and four steals. To round out the scoring, Brandon Harris had seven, Jamie King six, Nagee Smith five, Roman Gilliam and Kevin Green four each, Demetrius Metcalf two and Jeff Hawkins one.

The Devils will now host a pair of games on Saturday JH Morgan. The Gold squad will play Emory Oxford College at 4:00pm, while the Blue squad will tipoff against Ware Prep at 5:30pm.
